Welcome to the home of the Elizabeth Rugby Union Football Club. We are members of the South Australian Rugby Union and compete in Divisions 2 and 3 of the competition as well as junior grades from under 8`s through to under 18`s. The club is located at Womma Park, Womma Road Elizabeth West, in the Northern suburbs of Adelaide. We are always interested in welcoming new players of all abilities at both junior and senior levels. Training is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings commencing 6.30pm. To contact some one from the club call 08 8255 7975.
Coaching ApplicationsThe ERUFC invite applications for Senior and Junior Coaching positions for the 2012 Rugby season. Written applications are to be submitted to the Committee by Thursday 02 Feb 12. The applications should state relevant coaching experience and qualifications. The Club is anticipating fielding teams in each Junior grade (U8s, U10, U12, U14, U16, and U18) in addition to 3rd and 4th grade Senior teams. Please note that in accordance with the Clubs Strategic Plan; the Elizabeth Rugby Club will be applying to the SARU to participate in Premier Grade (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade) in 2014. Accordingly, Senior Coaching Staff should be prepared to assist the Committee in achieving this Strategic Goal.
Annual General MeetingThe Committee of the ERUFC advise the Annual General Meeting of the Elizabeth Rugby Club will be held at the Clubrooms on Thursday 01 March 2012 at 7.30pm. Nominations for three vacant Committee positions are to be submitted to the Committee by COB Monday 30 January 2012. Members wanting to include Agenda Items for discussion at the AGM are to inform the Committee in writing by COB 30 January 2012
2011 Premiers !Elizabeth's A Grade have won the 2011 Division 2 Premiership. In a nailbiting game Elizabeth defeated Barossa Rams 17-14 in extra time. After a poor first half Elizabeth trailled by six points at half time. Second half tries to Tom Haynes and RJ followed by two pressure conversions by Matt Douglas saw Elizabeth lead with only minutes to go. A penalty and a late try from Barossa evened the score at 14 all at the final whistle. Forced to play 5 minutes each way of extra time a 30 metre penalty by Matt Douglas and then stout defence to hold Barossa out saw Elizabeth emerge victors in a tense game.
